Plans for DFD 2011
As the financial crisis goes deeper there are not enough funds for celebrating the way we would like. Although we will organize an informational speech at Thessaloniki GNU/Linux Lab - Hackerspace where afternoon time the 1st ever LPI Exam Lab in Greece will take place.
Also, this year we will focus on translating in Greece large part of the DFD Wiki. The Artwork for 2011 is already in place and ready for download.
DFD 2010
Firstly, we have already translated the Artwork and and soon it will be uploaded it on our site. Not only on our portal but also to our personal blogs and sites, linking to DFD website. Already, members as Kostas Boukouvalas (Fellow of FSFE) posted related articles.
We were planning an informational event inside University of Macedonia, probably a combination of sharing printed material and a related speech to an auditorium. Finally this didn't happen because we had another, greater opportunity. That of the visit of Richard M. Stallman.
Richard M. Stallman visited Thessaloniki and gave a speech about Free Software at 01/06/2010 in front of 300 people audience.
